Alice Springs women march towards Parliament to pay tribute to Indigenous women killed by family violence

26 March 2018

"Each of the women have their own personal story of violence, and some of them sadly resulting in deaths, so they've got a very deep investment in terms of what they want to see for themselves, and their children and grandchildren. That in itself has not only linked the women together but it has also captured the hearts of so many other men and women who see that here is a group of people who come from the town camps of Alice Springs, who live day in and day out with some of the most appallinginstances of family violence and they are doing something about it."
