After three years of nothing, Turnbull has finally released NAIF funding to Humpty Doo Barramundi in the NT the first NAIF funding to be released in the NT.

Labor welcomes this announcement. Humpty Doo Barramundi is a terrific top end company and this will create more jobs in the NT.

But the question remains - what took Turnbull so bloody long?

It has taken the Turnbull Government more than three years to deliver funding to one project in the NT.

On top of this, Turnbulls unfair budget cut $70 million from NT schools and cut $6.5 million from Royal Darwin Hospital to pay for his $80 billion tax cuts for big business and the big banks. This just proves he cares more about the top end of town than the Top End.

We hope this is the first of many infrastructure projects in the NT. Turnbull needs to pull his finger out and get on with it.
