Senator Malarndirri McCarthy discusses the protection of First Nations Sacred Sites on Channel Ten's The Project.
MALARNDIRRI MCCARTHY: The protection and value of First Nations history through the environment, through art, is worth considering and worth protecting. Clearly there needs to be a coming together of all these diverse groups to navigate a way forward that is for the best for that region and for the people who live there. If we call Australia home, we too should also call the history of this place, as the oldest continuing culture in the world of First Nations people, we should also be proud of that as Australians.
